If you recall, what influenced your decision to become a member of the International Atlantic Economic Society?

I have been a member of the International Atlantic Economic Society since May 2024. My decision to become a member was driven by my interest in building connections with the network of scholars associated with the International Atlantic Economic Society. I have not participated in any IAES conferences yet. However, I am looking forward to participating in one of the upcoming IAES conferences.

What types of projects/research are you currently working on and what inspired/motivated you to pursue these interests?

Currently, I am working on two research projects: 1) “Demographic Shifts and Labor Productivity: A Case Study of Singapore” and 2) “Female Labor Market Outcomes and Digitalization”. Additionally, I recently completed a co-authored paper titled “Skilled Immigration and Economic Activity: A Metropolitan-Level Analysis,” which is currently under review.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering entering your line of work/field of study?

Students pursuing an academic career in economics should be devoted to making contributions to education as well as to the profession. It is important to stay up-to-date in the field so you can contribute to both research and teaching.

Going forward, what other projects/research are you planning or hoping to pursue?

I would like to work on a project examining the economic impact of Universal Health Coverage (UHC), which was established as a global commitment a decade ago.

What’s your favorite hobby?

My favorite hobbies are reading, gardening, and travelling.
