International Advances in Economic Research has been established on the premise that there is a substantial need to increase communication and share constructive viewpoints among economists. In addition to formal publication of full-length articles, other avenues of less formal communication should be available. A small point may not be worthy of a formal paper but is important enough to warrant dissemination to colleagues. Research in progress may be of interest to other economists. A research approach ending in negative results needs to be shared to save others from similar pitfalls.
Research Notes has been established to facilitate this form of communication. It will provide a means by which short manuscripts can quickly appear in IAER. Every attempt will be made to complete the review process within one month after receipt of the Research Note.
FORMAT
Submit your Research Note in electronic form to
https://www.editorialmanager.com/iaer/ and follow the instructions. Your Research Note must be double spaced and
typewritten. Total length of text must not exceed 400 words. The title should not exceed 10 words. Research Notes longer than the allowed word limit will automatically be reduced to meet
space requirements. Give a clear idea of the main conclusions of the Research Note in the
opening sentence. DO NOT include equations, diagrams, or footnotes, but numbers may be
included. References to previously published works should appear in parentheses and within the body of the text. Include the author(s) name, name of the journal or book, and year of publication.
SUBMISSION FEE
Submission fees are waived for papers resulting from conference presentations if submitted within three months after completion of the conference. Submissions after that date, and all nonconference manuscripts, will be charged a $45.00 submission fee for members and $65.00 for nonmembers.
