The aim of this paper is to clarify the employment impact as well as other economic effects of clean technologies (integrated environmental technologies in the production process) on the level of the firm as well as on a macroeconomic level. Therefore we utilize different methodological approaches. These approaches include a partial equilibrium analysis, a general equilibrium analysis (using different closure rules regarding the labor market) and a Keynesian input-output model. While the first approach covers only one firm of a sector, the latter two are implemented with data for the Austrian economy.
