Symposium: Basel II: Unsettled Issues in Europe and the U.S.

 
IAES Executive Vice President, Dr. John Virgo introduces the symposium on Basel II   Symposium organizer and former IAES President, Dr. Edward Kane of Boston College, delivers his presentation, "Basel II: A Contracting Perspective."
     
 
Dr. Santiago Carbó Valverde of University of Grenada speaks on "Basel II and Bank Ownership in Europe."   Dr. Gottfried Haber of the University of Klagenfurt speaks as the panel looks on. His presentation was on "Basel II: International Competition Issues."
     
 

Dr. George Benston of Emory University begins with his presentation, "Basel II and Bankers' Propensity to Take or Avoid Excessive Risk."

  Dr. Richard Herring of the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania concludes the symposium speaking on, "The Rocky Road to Basel II Implementation in the U.S."
