Dr. John M. Virgo, Professor and Executive Vice President

Dr. Virgo founded the International Atlantic Economic Society in 1973, served as its President from 1973-76, and since then has been the Executive Vice President. He has written over 50 published articles, four books, and several monographs. In addition, he has been a consultant to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Labor, State of California, State of Virginia, State of Illinois, and numerous regional private and public groups. In Paris, in 1983, he also founded the International Health Economics and Management Institute, where he served as Chief Executive Officer until 1987 and on the Board of Directors from 1987-90.

Patty Shaw, Conference and Journal Coordinator

Patty received her B.A. in English from Florida International University. She is an avid runner and participated in the Race for the Cure. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her husband, John and her two children, Hannah and Ben.

Kelsey Rodenbiker, Intern

Kelsey is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Communications and International Studies at Saint Louis University. She also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain in 2007. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her friends.

Rachel Stone, Intern

Rachel is currently pursuing her Bachelor of International Business and Economics at Saint Louis University. She also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain in 2006. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
